I've been looking at our old Everland pictures since I learned that May 11 – June 17, 2012 is Everland's Rose Festival! How I wish I can be there to witness it now. My Everland pictures didn't have any roses on them but they're still a lovely set of memories I'm forever fond of.
I have always been a fan of parades ^^.
The safari tour was in Korean so we didn't understand everything the guide was saying. We didn't need to anyway hahaha, the animals were all too captivating!
Remember that Protect the Boss scene where Cha Jiheon was asking the Board members this question~ what do they think is their theme park's major competition? It's not other theme parks but smart phones, game consoles and the internet! That was brilliant and true! I especially like the part where they wanted to collect netizens' precious theme park memories since most (if not everyone) would have one.
I myself, can compare my complicated love-hate relationship with my smart phone, internet and other electronic consoles with my precious theme park memories! Spending a day out playing like a kid and not getting judged (too much) for it is just priceless and rare. Good thing South Korea has tons of theme park options so that I can always have that theme park day in my itinerary.
There's so much of Everland that I haven't seen yet! How I long to go back on a charming autumn day and finally see that Pororo 3D attraction we missed last time.

➹ potato pizza!
Today's snack is potato pizza!
Huge wedges of baked potato, bacon, mushroom, onions, mozzarella cheese, sweet corn, and mayonnaise on crispy thin crust pizza... Talk about CARBO-LOADING huh? This is a Korean flavor mainly because of the corn, potato and mayo. I'm such a fan of corn so I was certain that this pizza topping would work for me. I was just a bit worried about the mayo part and I was hoping that it wouldn't be too overpowering.
My mom didn't really take a liking to it. But I loved it!^^ The potato wedges were really tasty. The mayo and corn added a sweetness and tang which went well with the salty cheese and potato. YUMMY!
I really wanted to try this out after having a sweet potato filled pizza crust from that Pizza Hut branch in Myeongdong. Now I have an answer to my Korean pizza craving! ^^ I'll have to find an answer to my jjajjangmyeon cravings next~

➹ lovely flowers around seoul
It seems to me that Seoulites love their flowers. Major streets in Seoul are often decked with divine flower pots and floral landscapes. Last autumn, we saw these huge flower bowls in front of Seoul Plaza.
These cauliflower-like flowers were really interesting! It was our first time seeing them ^^.
A couple of years back, I also took some pictures of this flower shop in a subway station (forgot which one exactly). They were selling these lovely bouquets for really low prices! If I am reading that correctly, it should be saying "10 roses for 2,000KRW" (roughly $2).
I'm not sure if there are still mini flower baskets being sold in the streets these days. With May being the Family Month in Korea, there is always a reason to get a floral bouquet for a special occasion! We were there during Children's Day in 2009 and these cute flower baskets were just irresistible. I even contemplated buying one for our humble hostel room but there was always so many other things on my shopping list haha.
Ahh, I miss Everland and its spring flowers. I wish I can come back when the English garden is in full bloom …
